Amazing grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now I'm found,
Once blind but now I see.
-John Newton date?
Once had the pride of a thousand men,
But was too ashamed to see,
That Thou my Lord would come again,
That Thou would come for me.
2005
The powers of earth shall fade away.
No worth shall gold retain.
Satan shall on earth lose sway
As God sets up His reign.
2008
So many voices call to me,
So many choices made.
Who shall I strive to be?
The sinner or the saved?

Storm
Storm clouds are rolling in -
Dark, boiling and full of anger.
Animals scurry home -
Lightning flashing
Thunder crashing
In a world of noise and storm.
Skies are black - rain is cold.
Here I am in a world of fear.
Where is God when I need Him?
Where is all that I hold dear?
Lightning flashing
Thunder clashing
In a world of noise and storm

In a world of noise and storm.
Skies are black - rain is cold.
Here I am in a world of fear.
Where is God when I need Him?
Where is all that I hold dear?
Lightning flashing
Thunder clashing
In a world of noise and storm

Lonely
Here is my first poem. Hope you like it!
The minds and hearts of women are like mazes,
Their moods are like Luna in her phases.
Her tears could be shed for sorrows or joys,
Young women can turn grown men into boys.
Time goes so fast when a woman finds love,
Her heart set a-flight like a newly freed dove.
Yet hard she falls and we see her heart break
When she finds out her true love is a fake.
More than one tear will fall from her eye
As she asks God, her creator, "Why?"
He says, "he wasn't the one I planned for you;
I have some plans for one or maybe two."
She said to the Lord, "I trusted You then.
If You are to help me, please tell me when."
He said to her, "be patient my child and you shall see
What things I can do when you trust in Me.
Now please go to sleep; lay down your head.
Let dreams come to you as you lie in your bed.

Welcome to the Poetry Corner!
Here, I will be posting my poems that I have written over the years. I hope you enjoy my poetry and welcome any comments on them. I have quite a few and the oldest date back to 2005. I'll be posting them chronologically, so that way I won't be missing any or duplicating them.
