Promise

The whole world is upside-down.
No one knows where to turn.
A shining smile turns to frown
And all hopes crash and burn.

Standing - staring - losing all hope.
Children's eyes wet with tears;
Wondering how they'll ever cope
With their dark, wide-eyed fears.

Who can turn this world around?
Who on Earth could ever free us?
Can the lost ever be found?
Only if you trust in Jesus.

Only then can you be saved
And washed clean of your sin.
When Death takes you to your grave,
Death will find he cannot win.

You will rise above the strife.
You will live with Christ the Lord.
He will give eternal life,
But only if you trust Him in His Word.
