Season of Night

Fall is coming
The leaves are turning
The air is cooling
My heart is singing.

Witches and warlocks fill the air.
Fruits are falling - apple and pear.
People are calling, "let's go to the fair!"
It seems to me, the Wicca don't care.

Autumn is coming
The colors are showing
The full moon is growing
My heart is laughing.

Pumpkins grow faces.
O'er the grass, Jack Frost draws laces.
Artifacts in old glass cases
Finding them in brand new places.

Halloween is coming
The wolves are howling
The spirits are moaning
My heart is fearing.

Go around the circle - once, now twice.
Now say the chant slowly thrice:
Spiders and worms; moles and mice;
Digger of graves, you must pay the price!

Dark times are coming
The Wicca are calling
Brave people are falling
My heart is crying.

O' reader of this poem know;
There is much to fear.
I would advise you to beware.
Listen closely to the midnight air,
And be alert for spirits - everywhere.

Happy Halloween
